Madeleine Briggs

Much of my work focuses on providing specialist asset valuations for financial reporting purposes, largely using the Depreciated Replacement Cost (DRC) method of valuation. I advise a variety of clients including NHS trusts, universities, museums, charitable trusts and local authorities.

I am a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a RICS Registered Valuer.

MY RECENT PROJECTS

• I have assisted in providing capital valuations for over 15 NHS Trusts including the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust and the London Ambulance Service.
• Recent university valuation instructions include Pembroke College, the University of Sheffield and Kings College London, which largely comprise higher education and student residential accommodation. I have also assisted with museum valuations for the Royal Armouries and the Science Museum.
• I have performed impairment reviews for university and NHS clients, recently advising on the likely impairment that will arise from the proposed 18,000 sq ft Children’s Cancer Centre scheme at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
• I have assisted with providing audit support to accountancy firms including Grant Thornton on local authority valuations.
