Mark is a Partner and head of the UK Industrial and Logistics team. He specialises in acquisition, disposal and development of industrial accommodation throughout the South of England.

Specific recent experience

Barking Power – in 2015 acted on behalf of the joint venture owners of this 1500 MW gas fired power station located on a 42 acre site in Dagenham east London in the sale to another power station operator. Provided ongoing advice to the new owners ATCO Power Generation we sold the site in their behalf in late 2018 to The City of London Corporation.

Peugeot Citroën Automobiles – Gerald Eve provide sole advice to the PSA organisation. Recent acquisitions and disposals included:

Acquired a 25,000 sq ft. showroom and workshop on a design and build basis in Maidstone to allow for the relocation, and sale of a redevelopment of their town centre site.

The purchase of a site on the Chiswick roundabout site in West London from Blackstone to allow for a full redevelopment.

Sale of their Capital Interchange site in Brentford west London to London and Quadrant, maximising capital receipts for the occupier whilst guaranteeing operational continuity in the short term prior to relocation.

Acted on the sale of a redundant workshop facility in Hanwell west London achieving a sale for residential redevelopment.

Acquisition of a site in Chingford to develop a new showroom and workshop and agreeing a sale and leaseback of the completed building to CBRE.

Sale of their 120,000 sq. ft. Citroën HQ facility which was on a 4.0 acre development site in Bath Road Slough.

Acquired and subsequently disposed of an aftersales facility in Ossory Road, south east London.
Costa – acted on their behalf in the acquisition of a freehold 90,000 sq. ft. (option to expand to 124,000 sq. ft.) purpose built coffee roasting facility in Basildon which was developed by Prologis.

Europa Worldwide Logistics – acted on the acquisition of a 260,000 sq. ft. purpose built cross dock logistics facility in Dartford south east of London which was developed by Prologis.

Prologis – advised Prologis in the acquisition of a 6.5 acre development site in Dawley Road Hayes west London and instructed to market the resulting 120,000 sq ft. multi let scheme.

AG Barr – acted on behalf of AG Barr (manufacturers of Iron Bru) in the acquisition of a 270,000 sq ft. production and warehouse facility on a freehold design and build basis, acquiring a further 70,000 sq ft. extension and a 4.0 acre land acquisition on Magana Park, Milton Keynes to ensure long term viability for the site.

DMGT – acted on the relocation to a new 150,000 sq. ft. facility in Thurrock east London, advised on the sale of their former print works in Canada Water, south east London, and successfully advised on the disposal of the 260,000 sq ft. print works facility in Didcot Oxfordshire to Rebellion Games Ltd in 2018.

Brake Bros – key recent work for them has included:

Suttons Business Park, Reading – acted on a 207,070 sq ft. design and build cross dock multi temp warehouse, developed by Standard Life.

Glasgow – advised on the acquisition of a 150,000 sq ft. design and build multi temperature warehouse developed by Prologis.

Beddington Cross, Croydon – advised on a 25,000 sq ft. warehouse acquisition and its subsequent disposal when it became surplus to requirements.
