I’m an Associate in our Alternative Markets team based in the West End. I specialise in providing valuation, estate strategy and acquisitions and disposals advice on educational, healthcare and other institutional and operational properties, with a focus on student accommodation.

My experience has focused on Red Book Valuations for loan security, accounting, estate strategy, acquisition and disposal purposes. I specialise in valuing institutional property including schools, colleges, places of worship and student accommodation across the UK. I also advise charities and religious orders on compliance with The Charities Act.

My clients include lenders, developers, investors and owner occupiers such as Barclays, HSBC, The English Province of The Institute of Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, Caterham School and City, University of London.

 

MY RECENT PROJECTS

  • University of Brighton Student Accommodation – I carried out a Loan Security Valuation of Varley Park on behalf of Clydesdale Bank which comprised 764 student beds and Phoenix Brewery on behalf of Barclays Bank which comprised 298 student beds. Both properties were owned and operated by the University of Brighton.
  • Acquisition due diligence on a student accommodation forward funding opportunity for the Waypoint Long Income Fund. I provided valuation advice on a development of 188 student beds which was pre-let to Unipol Student Homes on a 25 year RPI linked lease.
  • Loan security valuation advice to HSBC in regards to St Dunstan’s College, Catford. This involved undertaking a trading valuation of the independent school and sports ground in addition to a valuation on the basis of vacant possession.
