My Experience

• I specialise in the energy sector and provide a range of services to clients. I work extensively in the valuation for rating of Wind Farms, battery storage, hydro and other energy related premises. Additionally, I provide rating advice to power generating and other utility providers in Scotland dealing with Transmission and Distribution networks, power stations and renewables sites.
• Some of my recent projects have included acquisition and compensation matters relating to specialist energy projects, and strategic advice on estate management and lease consultancy terms as well as development agreements.
• I represent energy clients such as EDF, Renantis, Fred Olsen, Scottish Power, SSE and Schroders Greencoat in relation to number rating appeals/proposals for energy subjects in Scotland.
• My recent experience relates to the 2023 revaluation in Scotland, including the analysis, reporting and disposal of revaluation proposals for clients in both the public and private sector. Subjects include retail, office and industrial in addition to specialist energy assets.
• I am a RICS registered valuer and I represent Gerald Eve on the SPF committee member for commercial real estate and the business rates working group. I am committed to staying abreast of current issues in the market with other leading individuals in the sector and believe I can make a positive contribution to property in Scotland.
