Steven Oliver

I have over 25 years of experience gained in the banking and fund management sectors.

I started my career at Barclays Bank covering a number of sectors and finishing my time at Barclays in the Private Finance division.

I spent time at Abbey National in their real estate financing teams before joining Close Brother’s in 2006 to manage their Joint Venture finance business alongside a number of other UK and offshore closed and open-ended funds. Following promotion to Deputy Managing Director, we sold the property fund management business to Alpha Real Capital where I became a Partner and build a number of new platforms including setting up Alpha Property Lending. Following Alpha, I worked to set up a mezzanine finance platform, Beaufort Capital.

I joined Peritus in 2016 as Chief Operating Officer with a brief to grow the Company into a sustainable finance advisory platform and we now have over 40 employees across the country and we manage Gerald Eve’s Corporate Finance platform.

MY RECENT PROJECTS

• Private Investor – We worked to create a new BtR platform which, during its life cycle would create c1,000 residential units with a value of over £300m.  The funding requirement is £100m.
• Corporate Investor – We worked to source a new investment facility for a mixed use, Central London asset where, at the time of appointment, none of the commercial space had been let.  We built a forward cash flow showing various scenarios and we able to obtain terms on a new £18m facility to not just repay the development facility but also to extract c£1.8m in equity.
