I’m an Associate in our Planning and Development team. Bringing more than eight years’ experience working in the property sector to the team, I provide planning advice for a wide range of mixed use, commercial, residential and educational development proposals.

I joined the Planning and Development Team here at Gerald Eve in 2013. I provide strategic planning advice for a range of clients, particularly across London. I manage a mix of different scaled projects, often dealing with complex strategic, land use and heritage matters.

I work with a variety of private and public sector clients. My private clients include Reselton Properties Ltd, Dartmouth Capital, LendLease, Stanhope, Berkeley Homes, WDS and Qatari Diar. My public sector clients include King’s College London, for whom we manage the planning process for some of their facilities. I also work for The Crown Estate and The Pollen Estate working with them to achieve long term sustainable growth of the Estate’s assets, through adding value with planning.

MY RECENT PROJECTS

  • Stag Brewery, Reselton Properties Ltd (London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames) -I am a core part of the team appointed to deliver the significant redevelopment of the Stag Brewery site in Mortlake, West London. The site, which extends to over 22 acres, has a 200m River Thames frontage and is recognised as one of the prime development opportunities on the River. On behalf of our client, Reselton Properties Ltd, I worked closely with a strong project team, including Squire & Partners to develop a mixed-used development which seeks to open up the site to public access. The masterplan includes a range of uses including residential (including affordable), a new high street including retail, restaurant and office uses, community uses including a new boat house, a new secondary school and a ‘Care Village’ comprising a care home and assisted living units. It also includes the provision of significant new open space and road works on the highway network.

The applications were submitted in February 2018 following two years of extensive pre-application discussions with relevant strategic bodies and local stakeholders. The applications went to Richmond’s Planning Committee in January 2020 and were subsequently called in by the Mayor of London in May 2020.

  • New Zealand House and the Royal Opera Arcade, The Crown Estate (Westminster) – Working closely with The Crown Estate, Stanhope and the New Zealand Government, I have helped manage the submission of a planning and listed building consent application to Westminster City Council for the refurbishment of New Zealand House (Grade II listed) and the Royal Opera Arcade (Grade I listed). The proposals will enable the retention of the New Zealand High Commission in the building and will revitalise New Zealand House and will enhance and better reveal the special qualities of the Royal Opera Arcade, Britain’s first covered shopping arcade.
  • Cork Street and Savile Row, The Pollen Estate (Westminster) – I work closely with The Pollen Estate to help manage the properties in their Mayfair Estate, most notably on Cork Street and Savile Row. I advise on planning to help the Estate achieve their vision for these streets and to harness long term growth.
