I’m a Partner in our Alternative Markets department. My expertise is in valuation and business rates, advising clients in the NHS, education, museum and local authority sectors as well as the London Estates.

I have particular expertise in portfolio and financial reporting valuations. I also have 11 years’ proficiency in the application of the Depreciated Replacement Cost and Contractors methods of valuation for specialised properties.

My key clients include a range of NHS Trusts and Foundation Trusts including Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, Brighton and Sussex, St Georges University Hospitals, North West Anglia, Royal Berkshire, Bedford Hospital & University Hospital Southampton amongst others. I also advise the Natural History Museum, the National Maritime Museum, the Royal Armouries, Sport England and the City of London as well as Universities such as the University of Sheffield, the University of Cambridge and the University of Essex.



  • Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust – We provided valuation for accounts purposes of the Trust’s two main hospital sites: Chelsea & Westminster hospital and the West Middlesex hospital. The valuation of the hospital estates included consideration of the Trust’s PFI procured elements and their staff housing estates. The total valuation reported exceeds £350 million. We’ve also provided the Trust with lease advisory, building consultancy and rating advice.
  • The Old Bailey (Central Criminal Court) & the Barbican Arts Complex – I have provided IFRS compliant valuations on many of the City of London’s operational assets including the Old Bailey and the Barbican, both specialised assets requiring to be valued using the DRC methodology. This encompassed a careful review of their suitability, location and physical obsolescence. The total valuation reported exceeds £300 million.
  • The Wellcome Trust – I manage the delivery of the annual valuation of The Wellcome Trust’s South Kensington Estate, which is used for both management and financial reporting purposes. The valuation is fully FRS 102 compliant and comprises a diverse mix of residential and commercial property types. I also value part of the Portman Estates’ residential holdings on a yearly basis.
