PGIM Real Estate was seeking exposure to the UK build-to-rent sector. We were appointed to identify opportunities and advise on the acquisition of an asset that would meet the client’s strategic aims.
We identified an opportunity at Centre Square in High Wycombe, a 123-apartment build-to-rent scheme being developed by Inland Homes. In addition, the insight we provided into future residential rents and the wider Hugh Wycombe housing market was key to the success of the acquisition.
PGIM acquired Centre Square in a £31.5 million off-market deal, with completion of the development in March 2021. The acquisition was the first UK transaction for the company’s European core strategy.
