I am a Senior Associate in our Building Consultancy team based in London. I provide advice on all aspects of neighbourly matters including Rights to Light, Daylight and Sunlight, administration of the Party Wall etc Act 1996 and Access to neighbouring land to both developers and neighbours throughout the UK.
I have extensive experience advising upon strategy for resolving problems arising out of development work. Part of my role is to identify from the outset opportunities and risks to or arising out of development so these can be effectively managed.
I have worked on projects ranging from small residential developments to complex urban regeneration schemes and day to day I provide consultancy advice across all property sectors to a wide range of clients including Soho Estates, Whitbread, DML, WHSmith, Costa and private individuals.
MY RECENT PROJECTS
- Advice to Developers – On-going neighbourly matters advice relating to Ilona Rose House, a Soho Estates development. This scheme involves demolition of the existing buildings, basement excavations and the construction of a mixed-use scheme creating a 300,000 sq. ft to include offices, restaurants and bars, retail and public space requiring the agreement of several awards and negotiating licences to permit scaffold and crane oversails.
- Advice to Neighbours – this forms another part of my work advising neighbours affected by development works. We regularly advise neighbours affected by building works or development and thoroughly review the details of any proposed works to ensure they are suitable and will not cause unnecessary inconvenience to our clients. Our understanding of case law and first-class knowledge of construction, in equal measure, enable us to ensure that any of our clients affected by construction works have the most comprehensive safeguards and that complicated details are explained in a clear and practical way. Clients include WHSmith, Costa, Waitrose and private individuals.
